It can be hard for us – let alone all of you – to keep up with everything that the Unity community is creating at any given moment, so we’re here to help. Enjoy this latest monthly roundup of Made with Unity highlights, featuring everything you need to know about (and may have missed) as it relates to community happenings for the past month.

Milestone Monday

November was once again a month filled with opportunities to celebrate your numerous achievements. From project launches to award nominations and wins, catch a recap of this month’s Milestone Monday posts and more below.

This month, we celebrated the releases of Pentiment by Obsidian Entertainment, Somerville by Jumpship Studio, and, last but not least, The Unliving by RocketBrush Studios. It was also exciting to see Oddworld: Soulstorm become available on the Nintendo Switch™. Keep looking out for new releases and awards every Monday on our Twitter.

#UnityTips Tuesday

As usual, Tuesdays are dedicated to #UnityTips on Twitter, and there were plenty of amazing tips shared in November. For example, @walaber gave us a great explanation of the physics in JellyCar.

The highlight was definitely the takeover of our channel by @MinionsArt, who came to share her shader expertise with our community. Here are all the tips grouped together:

It was an amazing takeover, and we can’t wait to show you more.

Keep tagging us and using the #UnityTips hashtag!

#MadeWithUnity Friday

As usual, we were amazed by all the incredible projects we saw using the #MadeWithUnity hashtag throughout November.

Twitter’s @EgorRezenov had a really cool 2D to 3D transition to show off, and @JonesieJones explored some dangerous waters. @KaldersaiDev introduced us to the most adorable drone companions, and finally, @Cyanilux had us missing the summer and sun.

On Instagram, we took a look at Stonelab Studio’s interesting fight mechanic. And, @e.boskoop took us for a stroll in the Harbour, while @shermanwaffle had a beautiful Japanese city to show off. Finally, Whiteboard Games had us seeing red in their quest for revenge against aliens and robots.

All in all, November was a blast. We hope you continue to share projects throughout the holiday season and keep adding the #MadeWithUnity hashtag when you do. Following your work brings us so much joy.

Creator Spotlights

While we had a busy month on Twitch – with streams featuring a look at Netcode for GameObjects and Unity Asset Store showcases of Text Animator and Shapes by Freya – our Creator Spotlights were limited to just one with JellyCar Worlds (above). The stream, hosted on November 30, covered soft-body physics in DOTS, 12 fps hand-drawn flipbook-style visuals, Ghost mode, Replay mode, and the Level Design tool.

Don’t forget to follow us and hit the notification bell so you always catch our streams. If you miss any, don’t sweat it – we upload all Creator Spotlight streams to this YouTube playlist.

Dev Blitz Days

While we didn’t host a Dev Blitz Day in November, you won’t have to wait long for the next one! With the Entity Component System (ECS) leaving its experimental phase and landing in the 2022.2 Tech Stream, it makes the Data-Oriented Technology Stack (DOTS) the perfect choice for the next Dev Blitz Day.

Please join us next Thursday (December 8, 2022) for the DOTS Dev Blitz Day. You can participate by heading to our forums, Discord, or the Unity3d subreddit during the day of the event to ask our Unity Experts your most burning DOTS-related questions.

Unite and Unity for Humanity Summit

On Tuesday, November 1, we hosted virtual and in-person events for Unite 2022. We were thrilled to reconnect with the community and spotlight Unity creators worldwide. Besides the keynote, three of the most-watched sessions were:

  • Understanding Unity’s 2023 roadmap
  • Stay DRY: Adopting a modular code workflow
  • Lighting environments with Unity (watch below)

The next day, Wednesday, November 2, we welcomed the global community for a second virtual education and networking event – this time with an emphasis on how you’re using Unity to change the world. Top sessions from the Unity for Humanity Summit 2022 included:

  • Leveraging digital twins for sustainability in the built environment (watch below)
  • Leading the way: Meet the next generation of gaming industry talent
  • Expanding XR innovation in post-secondary education

Unity Asset Store

It was like Jupiter in the Asset Store this month because our annual Black Friday sale was out of this world! What did you get in the sale, and can you relate to this? Remember, you can still take advantage of up to 70% off on more than 500 of our most popular assets until December 7.

Throughout the month, we invited top publishers to share #UnityTips with the @AssetStore Twitter community. Opsive, the team behind top-rated tools like Ultimate Character Controller and Behavior Designer, shared helpful tricks you can use to jumpstart and save time on your projects. Here’s the team’s most popular tip. Then, Meshtint Studio, the publisher of many adorable 3D assets, let us in on quick tips that can add flair to your game. Check out their most-loved tip.

As always, we’re big fans of the amazing work being done by publishers and creators alike. Whether it’s a showcase of your assets in action or a project you made using assets, we aim to spotlight your work on Twitter every Friday. If you’ve been making something for (or from) the Asset Store, share it with us using the #AssetStore hashtag – we’re always excited to see your creativity. In the meantime, take a look at some cool, recent publisher projects below.
