University talent

Unity Students & Early Career: Internship program, student workers, and recent graduates

Our students are passionate about how real-time 3D can impact the future of a range of industries, from gaming and architecture to automotive, film, and more. They want to help shape groundbreaking technologies that let artists, designers, and developers create and operate immersive, interactive content.

We offer a wealth of entry points for students who want to advance their careers in the technology industry. From software engineering, machine learning, and human resources to marketing, UX, data, sales, and business development, there are exciting opportunities here for university students with a range of experiences.

Real work, lasting impact

Our student programs give you the chance to learn through hands-on project experience. Students at Unity are challenged to solve impactful business problems, learn from thought leaders, engage in social and cultural events, and grow through mentoring and networking. They are welcomed onto teams of professionals where they benefit from the support of their mentor, manager, and teammates.

A global community

Students from around the world join Unity to begin their careers. In the U.S. and Canada, we currently hire students in San Francisco, Austin, Orlando, Bellevue, Montreal, Vancouver, Toronto, Calgary, and Port Coquitlam. In Europe, students join our London, Brighton, Copenhagen, Helsinki, Vilnius, Kaunas, and Dublin offices.

The student experience

We host engaging activities for students at Unity every year, including talks by Unity leaders, round tables, fireside chats, and fun social events. Our students also participate in Social Impact volunteering and make their mark through involvement in our commUnity – Unity’s Employee Resource Groups (ERGs). These dynamic collectives enhance recruitment and retention, professional development, allyship and inclusion, and community engagement for underrepresented talent in tech.

Global leaders speaker series

Summer is when most students are with us. From May to August, we invite a selection of leaders from across Unity to share inspiring experiences, career insights, and strategic views on the business with our students. These talks highlight the diversity of talent and potential for growth at Unity while offering unique opportunities to connect with our CEO, John Riccitiello, and the VPs who lead key areas like Create, Marketing, Finance, Social Impact, and People.

Kim Munoz, HRIS analyst intern for AMER market shares a quote on her experience at speaker events: "The Global Speaker events gave me an opportunity to step away from my internship work and gain insight from professionals within Unity. We often forget they are human too, so it's not only an opportunity to learn more about them but also to network and create meaningful relationships."

Student social events

We host local and global events for students both in person and remotely, like coffee catch-ups, trivia, virtual escape rooms, and more. Our students use these events to learn and grow professionally while building relationships with each other and full-time employees at Unity.

Office activities

We’re a global company with a vibrant culture that’s reflected in our offices and beyond. While each office’s calendar is different, all employees and students get access to the engaging activities planned by our Workplace Experience teams. Examples include cooking and wellness classes, Pride week festivities in Montreal, Oktoberfest in Copenhagen, Star Wars meetups in Austin, and kombucha brewing workshops in San Francisco. These events are fantastic opportunities for students to mingle with folks from different teams while enjoying some of their office’s local flavor.

Student impact celebrations

Students are an integral part of what we do. To recognize the valued contributions they make, students’ final presentations are a celebration of their learning experience and their impact across the company. We’re always amazed by the quality and variety of their work – the Go Bold attitude and new perspectives that students bring inspire everyone at Unity.
