Spooky season starts now at the Asset Store

From spine-tingling skeletons to creepy crypts, get ready to scream when you see this season’s sinister asset selections.

A wickedly awesome event this way comes. With over a hundred coveted assets available, our nights of terror begin deep in the Forest, home to a wretched Witch – bubbling Cauldron and all. Add these to the WitchWood environment for a chilling touch.

But if that’s too sinister for your style, check out The Witch’s Cauldron from TRIPOLYGON Inc., the publishers of UModeler. This bewitching, low-poly scene was made entirely with UModeler, which should give you an idea of all the malignant – I mean, magnificent – work you can do with the tool.

Of course, there’s no time like Halloween to take a trip to the underworld. That’s where we’ll meet some truly cunning creatures like this Gargoyle (or this one, this one, this one, or even this one, among other ghastly ghouls). As we fall deeper into the depths of despair, discover dastardly Demons, or perhaps a Demon Butcher if that’s more your type. There’s even the devious Demon Brute from PROTOFACTOR, and the loaded Demons Super Pack from Andryuha1981 for more variety.

Then, let’s make our way through another monstrous milieu to check out the demons’ Dungeon. While the sound of Devil Vocalizations (not to mention, the Devils themselves) might make us want to hurry out of there, let’s keep company with their Devil Cats and Cute friends first. We wouldn’t want to insult the beasts, would we?

Once we escape, we’ll have to pass through the PBR Graveyard. And yes, there are Monsters lurking there too. Skeleton Knights, a Skeleton Mage, and Skeleton Sorcerer lead an entire Skeleton Army backed up by all kinds of other Skeletal Characters, including this Low-poly Skeleton Crew.

No matter how hard we try to head to the Spooky Woods in the distance, the Low-poly Graveyard Massive Pack keeps us physically grounded in the grave. But just as the Zombies start crawling out, we make a run to the creepy Horror House. There are worse places, right? RIGHT?

At first, the Cute Bats we see are not so spine-chilling... that is, until they lead us to the petrifying Vampire Bats. And where there are bats, there are sure to be Vampires (trust me, there are a lot of different vampires). As we crouch in the corner, with the Dynamic Horror Ambiance taking over the scene, there’s only one way to escape: Through the Fences and Gates.

We run fast into yet another Forest Environment, narrowly avoiding a Giant Spider, a Wolf Spider, a Furry Spider, and even a Monster Bone Spider. There’s clearly no shortage of Spiders either.

This goes on until we finally find ourselves in the Real Landscapes – Valley Forest, where our journey comes to an unfortunate end. Whether it was the Scary Pumpkin, Poly HP – Pumpkin, or the Pumpkin and Skeleton duo that did us in, I guess we’ll never really know.
