The Unity Hub is a desktop app that both streamlines and facilitates how you find, download, and manage Unity projects and Editor installations. It not only simplifies your approach to creation, but provides a series of features and resources to help you get the job done.
Our latest release introduces much improved workflows and an enhanced user experience, all designed to accelerate productivity. Want to know more? We’ve unpacked a few of these new capabilities below.
When you enter the Unity Hub, you’ll encounter a modern interface. Along with its new dark theme, you’ll see a sleek and well-organized navigation menu with clear prompts so you can find what you’re looking for.
You can now open and share remote projects with your team directly in the Hub. This makes for smooth teamwork and alignment on crucial projects.
We’ve introduced a new Download Manager to give you more control, visibility, and information on your downloads. With the Download Manager, you’ll be able to monitor progress, queue downloads, and troubleshoot any detected errors.
With Secure Standard Authentication, you’ll experience a more secure, standardized sign-in flow, which includes a one-time sign in to access Unity Hub, Dashboard, and Editor all through the browser.
We brought macOS development workflows natively to M1 with Editor support for Apple silicon. And now, when using the latest Apple devices, you can access the Apple silicon builds right from the Unity Hub (starting with version 3.0). Learn more about this here.
Not only is the Unity Hub supported on machines running CentOS 7 and Ubuntu 18.04, 20.04 operating systems, but we’ve also made it easier for Linux users to install the Hub and access its features.
