The Creator Kit: Puzzle project is designed to help you make deliciously simple puzzles using physics in Unity, no code required. All you need to do is guide a marble to a goal – simple, right?

As part of the step-by-step learning module, you’ll get a chance to explore the Unity Editor interface, design physics-based puzzles using different objects and obstacles, and create a sequence of levels that can be unlocked and accessed during gameplay.

The Create with AR: Face Filters course teaches you how to create augmented reality (AR) face-filter apps using Unity. As part of the course, you will create multiple face-filter projects from start to finish that are compatible with both Android and iOS devices.

The first app involves overlaying textures, animated 3D models, particles, and other effects on the user’s face. The second app is more interactive and involves developing ways to allow the user to select, customize, and visualize different pairs of glasses.

The course uses Visual Scripting, a graphical programming system that does not require any written code, and features quizzes and challenges to help solidify your skills and build your portfolio.

Take the course.

In this step-by-step learning project, you can get to know more about the Editor interface and learn how to customize game targets, design levels, modify weapons, and create level endpoints. Voilà, you have a complete first-person shooter (FPS) to share with friends and continue developing.

Where are users most engaged with your game? How many levels do players complete during their first play session? Is the third boss overpowered, causing players to quit? Are they following along with the onboarding tutorials?

Unity Analytics is designed to answer these questions and more, revealing how users interact with your game and enabling you to drill down for more detailed information. This learning project will help you discover how to:

  • Connect a project to Analytics from the new Unity Dashboard or within the Editor.
  • Configure events to capture information about how users are behaving in your game.
  • Create and set up Analytics reports on the Unity Dashboard to view collected data.

Create with AR: Markers and Planes

Anchoring AR content to real-world objects like markers and flat surfaces produces more compelling, grounded, and immersive AR experiences. The Create with AR: Markers and Planes course teaches you how to create AR apps that respond to the user’s physical environment. First, you’ll create a marker-based app, where the device recognizes a specific image and projects an interactive 3D model on top of it. Then, you’ll make an app that detects flat surfaces and allows users to spawn a portal on their desk, floor, or wall.

Do you fancy yourself an intrepid adventurer and love completing NPC quests? The Creator Kit: RPG is the kit for you. A code-free resource, this kit allows you to focus on learning about the Editor and customizing a game based on your own ideas and interests.

As part of the step-by-step project, you’ll create a world, populate it with characters, write custom dialogue, and design quests for players. The final result: A role-playing game (RPG) that you can continue to tweak.
