Thank you for your feedback!

GDC is one of the biggest game development events of the year, and it happens right in Unity SF’s backyard! Join us for a week centered on our latest technologies and filled with exciting announcements and learning opportunities. Let’s celebrate the amazing game dev community that we know and love!

Below you’ll get a quick overview of all the ways you can connect with Unity and fellow devs at GDC 2019. Head to our bigger-than-ever booth (#227) on the expo floor, catch one of our many talks, grab a drink, network and more. You can find additional details on our handy Unity at GDC page, and be sure to check back as we reveal more leading up GDC week.

Experience the Keynote live, together

Save the date! We’ll be kicking off the week with our Keynote on March 18, 5:00pm PST at 846 Mission Street (Century Theaters entrance). Get ready for some major announcements as we debut our latest innovations and Unity 2019 features, including graphics, performance, connected games, and more. Head over to the Unity at GDC page to RSVP today!

Keynote Parties

No worries if you can’t make it to the venue though. For the first time ever we’ll be hosting Keynote Parties in our San Francisco, Bellevue and Montreal offices, which are open to the public -- no GDC badge needed! Come grab a snack and drink, watch the keynote, and meet some of your fellow artists, developers, and gamers.

Not only that, but select Unity User Groups will also be hosting their own local viewing party events. To start, the Portland, OR and Austin, TX Unity User Groups will be hosting their communities, and we’re excited to add more locations soon! We encourage you to throw your own and invite other local game developers so we can all watch the excitement unfold together. The Unity at GDC page has location and RSVP details, with more locations coming soon.

Unity Sessions at GDC

Developer Day

We have a full day of in-depth sessions planned for our Developer Day on Tuesday, March 19 from 10:00am to 6:30pm PST. Come and learn about new and upcoming technologies in Unity, like how to create instant games with DOTS using Project Tiny.

You can find more information on Unity Developer Day on the GDC website.

Speaker Sessions

In addition to Developer Day, we have a multitude of official GDC and sponsored sessions where you can gain insights on hot topics such as DOTS, Multiplayer, Machine Learning and AI, and more.

Attend “Connecting the DOTS: The Unity Data-Oriented Technology Stack” with Mike Acton and learn how it was applied in the Megacity sample project. Or check out Natasha Tartarchuk’s “Assisted Artistry: Applying Deep Learning to Games Content Creation” session, where attendees will learn practical approaches for applying deep learning techniques to content creation workflows for games resources and more. Operating a multiplayer game on a global scale is quite challenging - grab some tips from Larry Rye in the session “Scaling Multiplayer Worlds for Success”.

There are many more opportunities to learn, including 12 Unity speaking sessions, so check the Unity at GDC page for the full schedule.

Sessions at Unity Theater

Expo pass holders can stop by the Unity Theater on the expo floor (Booth S249) every day for a full schedule of great sessions. Learn about the DOTS, the latest Unity 2019.1 features, best practices for mobile-game development from major studios and much more. Check back soon or follow us on @Unity3d to be notified when we release the full session schedule soon.

Share your feedback at our Unity product roundtables

The Unity team is hosting roundtable discussions at GDC and we'd love to hear your feedback.  The roundtable will be held onsite at Unity's San Francisco office and will take 1 hour. This is a small group discussion (meaning no stage or mass audience) with a few members of the Unity team. We’d love to use this unique opportunity to hear about your feedback on how we could help you in the future to be successful in your current and upcoming projects.

We will be cheering you on at the IGF Awards and GDC Choice Awards, and will be toasting to you at our Booth Happy Hours. Here's to more years filled with phenomenal creations!

Excellent games made with Unity

In addition to the great games and demos at our booth this year, we’d like to congratulate the 8 Unity developers nominated this year at the IGF Awards and GDC Choice Awards.
